Introducing Power Automate
Power Automate (previously Microsoft Flow) will help you shortcut processes through automated workflows between Microsoft services and third-party apps to reduce the effort in completing repetitive tasks. This includes:
- 1000s of pre-built automation templates to automate frequent business processes.
- 200+ connectors for apps including Dynamics 365, Outlook, SharePoint, MS Teams, Adobe Sign, MailChimp, Twitter and Facebook.
- Trigger notifications, automated emails and many more actions – without coding.
- Save time, increase productivity, reduce errors and streamline your processes.
As part of the Power Platform, the Common Data Service (CDS) is integrated into Power Automate bringing powerful data service with security capabilities, logic and rich customisation.
This enables smart workflows to be setup that collect data from multiple sources that is stored in the CDS for easier access.
Simplify repetitive tasks with multistep workflows where one or more actions can be triggered within the same connected process.
For example, send an Outlook email and schedule an activity in Dynamics 365, or create a new CRM record and deliver a push notification.
Instantly trigger approval requests to quickly respond to sales quotes, expense claims, document revisions, holiday requests, contracts and other routine processes.
Approvers can receive these requests in multiple ways including by email, app notifications or SMS alert, so they can respond directly, or review all requests in a unified approval view.
Control the flow of data and make sure sensitive data does not leak from your organisation through data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
Creating a DLP policy ensures your data is processed consistently across the business to avoid ring-fenced data being published to external connectors.
