CRM Requirements Scoping
Before providing a project cost, we first need to precisely understand the architecture of your business processes, your CRM vision and immediate project aims.
We do this by gathering detail during a scoping consultancy involving your project stakeholders to understand:
- Which processes are critical in accomplishing your goals
- Your immediate and longer term CRM objectives
- What type of data will be imported into Microsoft Dynamics 365
- How Dynamics will need to integrate with other applications and data sources
- Which metrics you want Dynamics 365 to measure, and what reporting output is needed
By asking these questions we’ll document your processes and demonstrate how they’ll be mapped to Dynamics 365 highlighting the efficiencies that you’ll gain by streamlining tasks and increasing user productivity.
This detailed scoping consultancy typically includes two on-site consultancy days and will involve all of your project team and key users.
Shadowing teams enables us to understand current pain points and identify priorities. We are then able to build a Dynamics 365 database that will enthuse users, save processing time and provide customized reporting.
As part of this process we’ll also provide an early introduction to Microsoft Dynamics 365 to demonstrate examples of how your system will work.
Planning & Documentation
After scoping we’ll produce a project charter and a statement of work. These will detail:
- Confirmation of the project aims, responsibilities and milestones
- A definition of your CRM success criteria
- An assessment of risk elements involved in the project
- Detail of each item of work that will be carried out and supporting costs
Development & Design
Once you've approved the statement of work we'll commence your database build and development in line with the agreed timescale and budget.
In regular project management meetings we’ll demonstrate updates as they're completed and we’ll make minor revisions as required. Any new requirements or variances at this stage are subject to change control.
Testing & Deployment
Once the system build is complete the development environment is released for your thorough testing and user acceptance.
After any requested modifications are applied a Dynamics ‘go live’ date will be set. As part of the deployment stage Preact will carry out:
- Outlook client integration
- Server installation (for on-premise deployments)
- Systems administrator training
- Role based user training
- Dynamics 'Go live' floor walking and troubleshooting
