ACT! Professional for Web can be deployed as a standalone product or in conjunction with ACT! Professional for Workgroups giving you the freedom to choose the implementation model that works for your business.

 Mobile users have the flexibility to access the ACT! database from any PC or laptop which has an internet connection using their user name and password combination.

 

 An internet connection is required in all instances. Mobile users who require offline access should be equipped with ACT! Professional for Workgroups.

 

 ACT! Professional for Web largely replicates the functionality of ACT! Professional for Workgroups though there are differences between the two products:

  • Contact look-ups are carried out from the a quick look-up feature on the navigation bar
  • Reports can be created in HTML only.
  • Only the ACT! word processor is available with ACT! Professional for Web
  • ACT! Professional for Web does not include a monthly calendar.
  • While using ACT! for Web, users will be unable to access Internet Explorer's View Source function and the right-click menu
