With ACT! for Web, users have real time access to your live ACT! database in Internet Explorer or Firefox so everyone can stay up to date and access contact detail.
 
ACT! Premium users have the option of working with ACT! through a traditional Windows client installation and/or a web browser.

Every ACT! Premium licence includes a Windows client + web access so there's no extra cost to use ACT! from an office desktop as well as having mobile web access.
 
ACT! Premium for Web includes all the functionality of ACT! 2012 Pro to manage contacts, track sales, schedule activities and make efficient use of your time.

Implementing ACT! Premium for Web

ACT! Premium for Web software is installed on your server so no client installation is needed. ACT! for Web must be installed on a compatible Windows server, it cannot be installed on Windows 7.

With the software centrally managed and administered, remote employees have access to the most recent product updates as well as all the layouts and ACT! reports consistent with the main office.

  • Apply access permissions to contact records for individuals and teams centrally
  • Field level security allows administrators to control access to specific fields including read-only access and hiding the field completely
  • Supports load balancing - organisation using multiple servers can load balance to maintain optimal performance
  • Regulate password settings - define expiry options, password alpha &/or numeric format and password re-use capability

ACT! database hosting without the hardware

ACT! Premium for Web will typically be installed on your own server.

How does ACT! Premium for Web compare to a local ACT! installation?

ACT! Premium for Web provides the core functionality of ACT! but compared to a Windows client ACT! installation the following features are different or not available:

  • Sage Accounting integration
  • Mobile Handheld Sync
  • Adding Document Shortcuts
  • Using the availability tab
  • Editing existing queries
  • Look-up indicator
  • List edit mode
  • Quick print
  • Dynamic lookup menus
  • Some iCalendar functionality
  • Certain administrative functions including importing data, changing layouts and defining user rights must be carried out within the ACT! Premium for Web server installation
